EDIS solution will help Springhill Medical Center improve efficiency and accelerate revenue

Springhill Medical Center is an acute-care hospital that has been serving Springhill since 1975 and prides itself in giving personalized care to its patients.
Springhill Medical Center chose MEDHOST’s EDIS solution to improve patient throughput which will result in enhanced patient satisfaction scores. Additionally, Springhill Medical Center impressed with MEDHOST’s excellent track record with emergency departments locally and across the country that utilize the solution. Springhill Medical Center is planning to go live with MEDHOST EDIS in early 2018.

Springhill Medical Center can trace its roots back to the Springhill Community Hospital, located on 1st street NE in Springhill. The Springhill Community Hospital began in 1959 and continued serving Springhill until it was relocated to its current location at 2001 Doctors Drive in 1975 when Humana, Inc. built the current facility. Throughout the years, the hospital has owned by several different for-profit hospital companies, which included, Humana, Columbia/HCA, and LifePoint. In 2000 the hospital became a standalone not-for-profit hospital governed by a local board. In 2008 SMC partnered with Willis Knighton Health Systems in Shreveport.
